#2 Product /Service Portfolio Part 2 of 7

2. Research and understand your target audience

Creating an effective business portfolio means understanding your target audience and knowing what type of portfolio will appeal to them. There are many different ways to create a portfolio, so it is important to do your research and figure out what will work best for your target audience. One way to research your target audience is to create a buyer persona. This is a semi-fictional character that represents your ideal customer. Once you have created your buyer persona, you can brainstorm what type of portfolio would appeal to them. Another way to research your target audience is to look at your competition. See what type of portfolios they are using and try to figure out what would make yours stand out. You can also ask your target audience directly what type of portfolio they would be interested in. Once you have done your research, it is important to create a portfolio that is both unique and appealing to your target audience. Remember to keep your portfolio updated and relevant to your audience, as this will help you to stand out from the competition.

James Leinbach

After 27 years in the trades industry, I sold my company and retired. Then two yeas later, I decided to be an advocate for those still working in the trades. My goal is to help the tradesmen to be more successful, work less hours, and to receive a high return on their time invested.
